Military schools of Russia: list, addresses, rating, reviews

In this short article, we will discuss in detail the best military schools of the Russian Federation, which annually graduate self-confident military who are ready to serve their homeland.

Military profession

It has long been known that in Russia, choosing a military profession is a very prestigious and authoritative decision. The world situation is turbulent, and this increases the potential need for military force. No matter how unpleasant it may sound, Russian military schools do not lose their popularity and every year attract more and more applicants. To get such an education means to get a job for one hundred percent, which cannot be said about students in other specialties.

Russian military schoolsThe only logical question that arises is: "What school should I go to?" For humanitarian and technical faculties, students / university teachers conduct advertising campaigns all the time. If necessary, the representatives answer the students' questions, and everything looks like a mini-open day. Nobody advertises military schools in Russia, so certain questions arise when choosing.

The benefits of military education

Despite the fact that the choice of an officer’s profession is a very difficult decision that should not be influenced by any extraneous factors (advice from relatives, for example), there are still a lot of advantages in choosing such a path. Here are just a few of them:

  • monetary stability, both during study (a worthy scholarship of 15,000 rubles) and during work and even retirement;
  • stable and nutritious nutrition, because the country does not need thin defenders with sunken cheeks;
  • clearly defined daily routine, which does not allow any of the students to beat the bucks and this prevents others from learning;
  • budget education. The only thing that can fail is negligent teachers who will demand money for the test / assessment in the exam;
  • the opportunity to live an independent life after the 11th grade. Very often, military schools are closed, and students are released only on dismissal, which reduces potential parental care.

Higher Military SchoolEverything seems so simple and attractive, especially if you remember that a man is known by deed, not by word. Serving in the power structures allows not only to provide for himself and his family, but also to feel many charms of his own sex on his own skin, which is why many men fearlessly declare that they want to become military officers, sailors and even police officers. But not so simple!

Cons of military education

What is the reason why military schools in Russia offer their students such liberties? What is behind all this? Of course, the life of a military man is dangerous and difficult, and not only mortal danger. Here are a few things that can push a person away from their desire:

  • heavy load, besides not only physical, but also psychological. That is why even before entering the school, special tests are carried out that help at the initial level to weed out psychologically unstable, weak personalities;
  • constant danger to life, associated not only with staying, for example, in hot spots. A soldier can die even when performing such a routine as a shootout with hooligans (if, say, after training, a graduate decides to go to the police). Yuri Gagarin, for example, generally died during a test task;
  • Departure to distant places (for sailors, for example, this is a common thing) means constantly being away from your family. All this can be very difficult, especially for those who are too much attached to the house;
  • when an officer receives a high rank, responsibility for the subordinates of his platoon / company / military unit rests on his shoulders, and this requires tremendous dedication. But it is precisely the commanders who are punished when someone under their supervision has committed some wrongdoing;
  • lack of flexible schedules and even weekends.

Military schools after grade 9If you took into account all the pros and cons, and also carefully weighed your decision, assuming for yourself that military service in the future is really a promising leap in professional development, then it is time to decide where to go and who exactly to become.

The most popular specialties

In general, the disclosure of specific military-technical specialties is prohibited by the law on state secrets, at least in schools secondary education. Therefore, it is peculiar to speak not about the specialties themselves, but about the areas of training.

So, at the undergraduate, the most common areas are the Airborne Forces, Air Force, MTR and intelligence. The quality rating of universities is also calculated on the training of future officers of these particular troops.

Learning model

First of all, it should be noted: despite the fact that Russian military schools are still considered educational institutions, control over them is carried out not by the Ministry of Education, but by the Ministry of Defense. In addition, of course, training in military disciplines prevails, but the curriculum of any school or academy remains a state secret.

What is the difference between military education and ordinary?

We can only say that their program has reduced the number of hours in humanitarian disciplines: such as philosophy, the Russian language, psychology. This is done for the sake of hours for special training: instead of studying the rules of the native language and theories of philosophers about the structure of the world, students are engaged in assembling and disassembling weapons, shooting, strategy and more. How much to cut the hours of less necessary disciplines is established by the regulations of the institution itself.

Military schools after grade 11The quality of military education in Russia far exceeds humanitarian and technical education. The teaching staff is composed of experienced people who have been in hostilities and have undergone not only theoretical, but also practical training.

Military education after and before grade 9

Military schools after grade 9 are divided into two types. The first type is the cadet corps (school). The second type is the Suvorov Military School.

When submitting documents, the applicant must successfully pass several entrance tests. This includes checking for physical, psychological and mental readiness. As a rule, the Suvorov Military School is different in that it does not accept girls and prepares boys for admission to higher educational institutions in the same direction.

Nakhimovskoye (at present in Russia there is only one Nakhimovskoye school - in St. Petersburg) is aiming its students to continue their military career in the open sea.

Where are such military schools?

After the 9th grade there are military schools in many cities of Russia: in Kazan, Tver, Tolyatti, Ulyanovsk, Yekaterinburg and, of course, in Moscow, as well as St. Petersburg. Some of them are aimed, not so much at the military specialties themselves, such as the pilot, radio operator, liaison officer and so on, but there are even military music schools, from which later, as a result, military bands are formed. Students of such schools often take part in city festivals and perform in parades.

After graduating from such a military educational institution, it is considered advisable to submit documents to a higher educational institution and continue training in a specialty there.

Military schools for girls

In addition, there are specialized educational institutions for girls, classified by age of students. Within the walls of boarding schools, girls do not learn what they had long been taught at the “Institute of Noble Maidens”. Do not confuse a female military boarding school with a similar educational institution.

In girls, as in young people, a sense of love for the homeland, patriotism is brought up.In large cities, it is customary for students from such institutions to participate in urban patriotic holidays. This is especially noticeable on Police Day, on the Day of Defender of the Fatherland and, of course, on Victory Day.

Suvorov Military SchoolDo not forget about the mentality of girls studying in boarding houses: in order not to lose personal spiritual qualities, creativity and subtlety of nature, the students of some boarding houses regularly sing, dance, and, of course, never stop reading. Very often in such establishments observe a strict dress code from a white shirt and black skirt, and sometimes - a jacket in a cage.

Some believe that such boarding schools “stamp their wives,” but this is not so, if only because the students of military boarding schools are studying combat training and are preparing themselves for military service.

In addition to the usual specialties, such as a nurse and a radio operator, many girls expect the profession of military officer. Fortunately (or unfortunately), in the modern world there is no longer a division into who a woman can and cannot be. This is so: in addition to working with equipment, a woman has the opportunity to stand at the head of a detachment and command it.

Surprising as it may be, there is no fresh ranking of military schools. But much is said about what institution of higher education you can go to after graduating from grade 11.

Military education after grade 11

Military schools after grade 11 are already divided directly by troops. So, there are: land, air force, missile, naval, military space, logistics and communications forces.

In addition to general subjects such as mathematics and the Russian language, when entering a higher military school, others are also taken into account, which are determined depending on the chosen specialty. And now more about this!

For example, the Novosibirsk Military School recruits for the specialty "personnel management", for admission to which it is necessary to pass social studies. Military meteorologists have to study geography. Troops associated with the constant use of equipment require a physical exam from their applicants.

Military schools of St. PetersburgMost military institutions are tied to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, so later there are no problems with finding work and even housing. Another question is that a military man who graduated from a higher military school can be transferred to another city, leaving it will be very difficult.

Rating of military universities of Russia

According to sociologists, military schools after the 11th grade of St. Petersburg and Moscow provide the highest quality education. In these cities, real professionals work, ready to teach everything necessary for the service.

Military schools in St. Petersburg were in second place. According to statistics for 2015, the Military Academy of Strategic Rocket Forces named after Peter the Great, located in Moscow, was recognized as the best (for admission there, you must take physics). In second place is the St. Petersburg Naval Academy (physics and chemistry in some places). The third is the Higher Military Aviation School, Yuri Gagarin Air Force Academy, also located in Moscow. Only professionals are trained here!

Military School of the Ministry of Internal AffairsOf the higher military educational institutions of Russia, the Higher Military Aviation Pilot School in the city of Tyumen is also noted. The FSB Academy is chosen by those young people who wish to become federal agents of Russia in the future. The Voronezh Military School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ryazan Air Force School named after Margelov are also very popular.

The opinion of students, teachers, parents

Usually, people unfamiliar with the modern military education system are of the opinion that the military, as they say, is "not ready for life." The only thing they are capable of, in this opinion, is to shoot innocent people, and since time is now non-military, they are generally not capable of anything. But this is not entirely true, because after graduating, for example, from a higher military engineering school, a person becomes more experienced and self-confident.

Every year, a huge competition is going to higher military schools, with 5-10 people per seat. Most applicants do not even go through psychological selection and quickly abandon this business.Those who do try to study well; Fortunately, the regime practically does not allow you to skip classes, be lazy, and frankly “hammer in” to study.

Students are the best time of life, and for students of the war years, this statement is as true as for students of any other educational institution!

Poor your son! His childhood and youth were passed away! In the USSR it was a sea of schools where an army of freeloaders tried to build their butt! Those flew out who did not master the mutual struggle for the dexterity of squealing, licking and frauds of the neighbor! A tale about the profession of defending the homeland nothing more than propaganda! Look now on social networks young ladies abound in uniform, a little more than 30 are already colonel! In the USSR, rarely did anyone get to the colonel without an academy! And then all this team rabble in case of war will lead to an untalented slaughter a huge amount of people act, as it was at the beginning of the Second World War! The army should be professionally hired! And then there will be no freebie swamp!

The son, having studied at the Cadet Corps for 7 years - from 5 to 11 grade, and does not want to hear about service in the personnel army. I agree with Vladislav’s previous comment - you need to go to military universities after completing basic military training in IEDs or in the Cadet Corps. Therefore, the dropout rate in military universities is under 50%, it’s not enough to withstand psychological and physical stress, so is the awareness “Do I need it?” comes already in the first courses.

The cadet corps greatly destroys the nervous system; children do not have freedom; they only think about how to get enough sleep or something like that.

The author, I, as a career military officer, will tell you how they used to say "go and serve." Such nonsense about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and especially about military schools, I have not heard. For graduates of the 9th grade there is also a special. schools (for example, Nakhimovskoye, Orenburgskoye with early summer training, etc.) Cadet classes, corps, and other garbage generally do not belong to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and are not accepted as a priority when they are admitted to the Higher Defense Ministry. What does "teachers only professionals" mean. Are you out of your mind to talk about people who have served for 20 years, graduated from two academies, a lot of courses to teach and they may not be professionals? First of all, in VU, relaxation ends (especially 1, 2 and 3 courses). Cadets are expected to have very high physical, mental and psychological stresses (separation from the usual civilian environment, from family, friends, etc.). The first courses are designed for as large a dropout as possible (for example, 280 people were enrolled when I enrolled, and only 4 graduated after 4 years). That’s why cadets "tighten the screws to a crunch" After 25 years of service, my opinion is: Future student I must go through either military service or IEDs, so that I can understand firsthand "what you need" and make the right decision. Then graduates of VU will serve until retirement, and not until the "apartment" as it is now. Studying at VU it is always necessary to remember the civilian component of one's specialty. In life, everything happens and it’s very good when, in addition to his military specialty (command tactical), a person will fully correspond to the specialty of an engineer in .... Then, upon reaching a “citizen” it will be much easier (by the way, psychological stress after a long service in the armed forces ) get a job with a decent salary. So when choosing a military profession you need to think very seriously, and even better try to serve.

A good article, I’m studying at a military university (MTO Academy) and completely agree that the quality of education far exceeds the humanitarian and technical. The teaching staff is composed of experienced people who have been in hostilities and have undergone not only theoretical, but also practical training.
