7 real places that inspired creators to create logos for some famous brands

Each brand wishes to develop a noticeable and memorable logo. And at a time when logo designers are using local geography or some famous buildings and famous places to increase customer interest.

In this article, we will find out which places and sights the designers took as a basis, creating a particular logo.

Neuschwanstein Castle (Germany) - Walt Disney movies, 1985–2006

Neuschwanstein is one of the most beautiful old buildings in the world. Walt Disney was so impressed with this bastion that he eventually became the face of this organization. Specifically, this castle is considered an example for the creation of the fairytale castle of Sleeping Beauty at Disneyland in Paris, and in 1985 it became the logo of this Walt Disney brand.

Usset Castle (France) - Walt Disney films, 2006 - present

In 2006, the Disney logo changed. The image of the castle has become larger, more beautiful and elegant. Many immediately recognized the image, saying for sure that it was Cinderella’s castle. Illustrators were inspired by French castles, especially Usse Castle. Interestingly, according to the belief, the creator of Cinderella, Charles Perrault, wrote a story while in this castle.

Mount Matterhorn (Switzerland / Italy) - Toblerone Chocolate

The Toblerone chocolate logo is the famous Matterhorn mountain, one of the most popular in the Alps. It is believed that the mountain not only appeared on the wrapper of the chocolate product, but also is located inside: a peculiar form of chocolate - a mini-copy of the mountain. These majestic mountains are truly amazing in their beauty, therefore it is not surprising that they were chosen.

Capitol (USA) - Hockey Club Washington Capitals

It seems that the Capitol has nothing to do with this: on the shield of the hockey club there is an eagle with a fierce look in traditional colors. However, if you look closely, you will see the dome of the Capitol at the bottom of the shield.

What a great design job! It was amazing to notice such an interesting symbol, which became the face of the brand! The strength and determination of the eagle truly identifies the team’s mood during the game.

Golden Gate Bridge (USA) - Cisco

In terms of design and style, this choice is not at all surprising, because this bridge is truly magnificent and beautiful. The logo may look minimalistic, but it’s still obvious that the prototype is the famous Golden Gate Bridge. Maybe you don’t think so, but keep in mind that the Cisco name of the same name comes from the abbreviation for the name of the city of San Francisco.

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (France) - Evian

The French mineral water Evian got its name thanks to the wonderful city of Evian-les-Bains, near which the purest water sources were found, as well as an incredible landscape, including the well-known Alps mountains - an identification of pristine natural beauty and grace. No wonder mountains are in the logo.

River Tyne Bridge (UK) - Newcastle Brown El

Newcastle Brown Ale's hometown is Newcastle. About 100 years ago, this beer brand won the first admirers. The most interesting thing is that on the product label there is an image of the famous bridge over the Tyne River, the opening of which was really grandiose - in the presence of King George V himself!

Prince Rupert Tower (UK) - Everton Football Club

This sweet tower, which, it seems, is no different from similar ones, is a complete identification of Liverpool, its soul. More precisely, a special part of this tower, which has become a symbol of the Everton Football Club.In 1930, the image of the shield of the former Prince Rupert was added to the shield of this football club.

This building actually had a difficult past: the tower built in the 18th century was a prison for some time. Today it’s hard to imagine the Everton shield without it. It symbolizes this city and its difficult fate, and people will remember this because one of the most important football teams took this tower in Liverpool as the basis for the logo.
