What it is?

What is EKLZ? The combination of letters stands for: electronic cash register tape protected. Now let's deal with the definition of the term.

EKLZ (protected electronic control tape) has several similar definitions:

1. A technical device capable of providing device registration protected from undetectable correction, as well as long-term non-volatile storage of information about each financial calculation made using a cash register machine. The purpose of all this: full accounting of profits for the legal calculation of taxes.
2. An additional memory unit, which is installed inside the KKM. Designed for storing cash volumes passing through a cash register.
3. The drug, which ensures the inconsistency and safety of CMC data. An alternative replacement for tax reporting of control paper tapes that have been required to be stored for five years. Entrepreneurs themselves perceived ECLZ as an additional excise tax on their activities (the cost of the device ranged from 5-6 thousand rubles).

Device device

The architecture of such installations is determined by the decision of the State Interdepartmental Commission of the Russian Federation for CMC. There are three main components:

1. KP - communication processor.It performs the following set of functions: providing protocols for the interaction of KKM with an electronic secure control tape via a standard interface, providing protocols for the interaction of the archive and the crypto processor. 1. EKLZ for KKT has the FSB specified service life. By the way, it is defined for all technical means of cryptographic protection of fiscal data. In this case, it is 13 months from the date of activation in the box office system "Mercury" or another cash register. Accordingly, after 00:00 on the first day of the next 14th month, the device is blocked. Exception: for closing a document (if it was open at the moment), closing a shift (if it is open at the moment), receiving fiscal reports and closing the cash register in a secure control electronic tape.
2. The design of the device makes physical access to the elements of its circuit impossible. It also contains components that fix such unauthorized access, which can distinguish it from an EKLZ error.
3. The software of this KKM component makes it impossible to correct information that is recorded in the EKLZ archives when it is used.

Device manufacturers

Registration of KKT and EKLZ is made by a wide range of the corresponding profile of firms. On the territory of the Russian Federation, only two factories issued electronic control tapes. One was located in St. Petersburg, the other in Dubna. At the same time, there was only one supplier - Moscow Besant LLC.

According to the users themselves, the devices manufactured in St. Petersburg were worse at work than the equipment from Dubna.

Advantages of operating the device

Registration of KKT, EKLZ, further operation of the device had the following advantages of use:

1. Prevention of zeroing of money counters in cash registers. This additional memory unit is designed to control the amount of money passing through the cash register.
2. Save storage space for accountable information. Convenience, ease of use ECLZ. The fact is that earlier for reporting it was required to store rolls of cash tapes for 5 years. This required a lot of space. In addition, it was difficult to understand such reports.

Disadvantages of using the device

Carrying out cash transactions under the control of ECLZ has a number of minuses. Let's touch on the main disadvantages:

1. The cost of such a block began in the region of 5-6 thousand rubles.But the device needed to be replaced every 13 months! Such expenses hit the pocket of entrepreneurs and LLC. In addition, there were costs associated with paying for the work of the wizard, replacing the unit, the preparation of relevant documentation to activate the new EKLZ device.
2. Not all old cash registers supported the installation of control protected electronic tapes. As a result, entrepreneurs had to deregister KKM data, in exchange to acquire new ones with ECLZ support, and put this equipment on record as well. All this required both financial and time costs, not conducive to business development.
3. As we have already mentioned, such a unit had a limited lifetime (13 months). Upon its completion, ECLZ replacement and activation of this device was required.

Block Replacement Features

Every 13 months until the beginning of July 2017, the control electronic security tape had to be replaced with an identical device. The procedure required the following set of documents:

1. KKM registration card.
2. Magazine of the cashier.
3. Call log for a technician.
4. Form passport of a cash register machine.
5. Passport version of the device.
6. An additional sheet of the passport version of the device, a two-sided copy of the document.
7. The latest Z-report and its two photocopies.

There were three variations of replacement:

1. In the central technical support center - a service center for cash registers.
2. At the regional tax office (at the registration address of KKM).
3. By proxy (notarized) by the mechanic of the maintenance center in the customer’s office.
