The girl pulled her boyfriend's friends out of prison, laying her grandmother's ring in a pawnshop, and got a lesson for life

With good intentions, the road is by no means laid out in paradise. Often, good deeds turn into huge problems, which can be incredibly difficult and nervous to solve. A girl learned the simple truth from her own experience, when she pulled her boyfriend's friend out of prison and put her grandmother’s ring in a pawnshop for this.

Good deed

In the late 1990s, her fiance, Jeff, came running to her with the story that his best friend and their roommate, Brad, had been arrested and imprisoned. “Brad is innocent. He had a fight with his girlfriend, and she called the police. I have to help him - he is my best friend,” the guy pleaded.

All the supplications meant that it was the girl who was supposed to help Brad, since Jeff never had money and he was chronic unemployed. At that time, the girl herself did not have cash, but there were jewelry for which a lot of money could be gained. Jeff convinced his bride to put her grandmother’s wedding ring in the pawnshop so that they could rescue their roommate from prison.

You give us things, we give you money

Many pawnshops are perceived as magical places that can turn old rubbish from the attic into a tidy amount. But, as a rule, in such situations we are talking about selling, and not the pledge of things.

The sale process is simple: the owner of the pawnshop and the client agree on a price, the client transfers the goods and receives money for it. The end of the story. On the other hand, a pawnshop is a type of emergency loan, under the terms of which you receive money on the security of a particular thing. The pawnshop lends cash and holds the pledged item until the client redeems it. In addition, there are interest payments that have the unpleasant feature of growing over time.

Relations with a pawnshop a year long

The owner of the pawnshop offered the girl who turned to him $ 150 for her grandmother’s diamond ring. She pledged to pay $ 30 per month every month, and if at least one payment is missed, the jewelry will be sold. If the girl wanted to buy the ring, then she would have to pay $ 150, which was an unbearable amount for her.

As a result, she paid interest on a Lombard loan for 24 months, giving 720 dollars. The amount amounted to 480% of what was originally earned. As a result, the owner of the pawnshop took pity on the girl and returned the ring to her, because she had paid for it for so long. And, of course, neither the unfortunate bridegroom, nor his best friend Brad ever returned the ill-fated 150 dollars to the girl.

The girl saved the payment certificate from the pawnshop with all the indicated payments as a reminder to never contact such organizations again. She learned a valuable lesson: a pawnshop is a great place to buy jewelry, antiques and other valuables at a discount. They are also suitable for the quick sale of unnecessary things, if you do not want to bother with various advertising platforms. But to put expensive items in a pawnshop is not worth it: it will be too much financial and emotional pay.

and the lesson (meaning) of this fable is completely different: you help people, and in return they don’t even have any gratitude ...

Man - send after another! 150 dollars is the Russian living wage! Surely a dose was collected. And to live as a family and raise children - HOW ?!

two are not docking, for $ 150 no one will be released from prison, even on bail. Second, no one will ever believe that they won’t collect $ 150.
